St. Patrick Hospital Associate

Dr. Felix is a native of rural Ohio and received B.S. and M.D. degrees from the Ohio State University.  He had his residency training at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and served there as Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and of Family Medicine.  He is Board Certified in Psychiatry, a member of the American Neuropsychiatric Association and a Distinguished Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association.  He has experience in prison health, State hospitals and community mental health centers.  For twenty-three years he practiced neuropsychiatry in Asheville, North Carolina.  Dr. Felix has special interests in general hospital consultation, and the psychiatric complications of other medical and surgical conditions.  He also has experience in law enforcement and emergency services and has served as Clinical Director of the Western North Carolina Critical Incident Debriefing Team.

His wife is a native of Western Montana, and thirty years of thinking about it precipitated their impulsive move from the Smokies back to the Rockies.  They both enjoy outdoor activities, especially photography.
