Robert Velin received his bachelor's, master's
and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Montana.
He completed his internship at the University of
California, San Diego and a post-doctoral fellowship
in neuropsychology in the Department of Psychiatry
at the University of California, San Diego.
Dr. Velin is an affiliate faculty member in the Psychology Department at the University of Montana, and previously
was an Assistant Project Scientist with the Department
of Psychiatry at the University of California, San
Diego.
The main focus of Dr. Velin's practice with Montana
Neurobehavioral Specialists is the evaluation of
neurocognitive functioning with special interests
in learning and attention deficits. He also maintains
a limited general practice in clinical psychology
focusing on the treatment of depression and anxiety
disorders.
Along with his wife and three children, he is a
native Montanan. He flies, fly fishes and spends
time with family during his non-working hours. He
once owned a tie, but his eldest son borrowed it
for a church program and never gave it back.
