Greg received his master´s degree in Counseling from the University of Montana. Greg provides adolescent and adult individual and couples counseling for a range of life transitions and mental health issues including: living with serious illness, bereavement, chronic pain, trauma, anxiety, depression and other mood disorders. He received graduate supervision from Julie Hergenrather, PhD, who was director of the Northwest Center for Cognitive Behavior Therapy at the time and has since moved on to direct the prestigious Beck Institute for Cognitive Therapy and Research. Greg employs an integrative approach to therapy that draws on a range of therapeutic paradigms including neuroscience, attachment studies, eye movement desensitization reprocessing (EMDR) and hypnosis. These differing paradigms are integrated through a focus on mindfulness. Greg has practiced mindfulness and meditation intensively for thirty years. Mindfulness-based approaches such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR) and Mindfulness- based cognitive Therapy (MBCT) are considered the “third wave” in behavioral and cognitive therapy.
