Who We Are

Montana Neurobehavioral Specialists is a team of medical doctors and Ph.D.'s in Missoula who diagnose and treat problems of the brain, mind and human behavior.

Our roots date back more than 20 years with specialties including neurology, neuropsychology, psychiatry, and neurofeedback. Having all four disciplines in one clinic makes us a unique practice in the region - in fact, the only one of its kind between Seattle and Minneapolis.

Professionaly, there's an advantage to having complementary clinical skills under one roof. When it comes to the mind, there are often links between physical changes in the brain and the development of behavioral symptoms. Both can be treated for a better outcome.

For instance, sometimes a patient will come in to see a psychiatrist and we find there's a neurological condition that's actually responsible for the problem. In other cases, a patient with a brain injury or suffering from chronic pain needs psychological counseling to help improve their coping.

With different specialists under the same roof, we can quickly consult with each other about a patient and determine the best course of treatment in complex cases. This allows our patients to get fast answers and sound decisions about their treatment. Thus our patients have an entire team of M.D.'s and Ph.D.'s ready to serve them.

In addition to their medical and professional degrees, the members of our practice hold multiple board-certifications. this means we have undergone extensive, advanced traning in specailty areas of medicine and passed rigorous examinations to be certified. As a result, our patients get the full benefit of this additional expertise.

When patients come to see us, it's because they are struggling with a difficult problem - a brain or behavioral disorder. We never forget that professional, compassionate care is what our patients expect.
